Army Benevolent Fund zip slide at NUFC


On the 18th May ACE returned to St James Park, the home of Newcastle United Football Club to run a zip slide for the Army Benevolent Fund.

Arundel Castle abseil



On the 17th May ACE travelled all the way to Arundel Castle to run a 5 rope abseil. The event was a partnership between Worthing Churches Homeless Project and Help A Local Child.

Duck Race!



On the 11th May we provided a duck race in Leeds for Irwin Mitchell in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Other charities were invited along on the day and had stalls in the court yard outside the Royal Armouries. We had a fantastic day much helped by the sun being out all day! And over £8,000 was raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Dystonia Society Bike Ride at Rutland Water


On Saturday 10th May we travelled down to Rutland Water to support the Dystonia Society with their first cycle event there. Around 70 people took on the challenge with many families taking part and either doing the full 23 miles or taking the 17 miles option. We had a great day and the sun was out! The sponsorship money is still coming in but so far the day has raised over £10,000!!!

Deaf Blind UK Zip Slide at the Tyne Bridge



On the 4th May we provided another zip slide at the Tyne Bridge. This time it was for the charity Deaf Blind UK. So far the charity has collected nearly £17,000.00 from this one event!

Birmingham City FC zip slide



May saw the first Adventure Challenge Events zip slide from the 2008 open event series. This took place on Saturday 3rd May at Birmingham City Football Club. We zipped nearly 100 people from 12 different charities. One of the charities involved was RNLI who fundraised over £500 from just 3 participants! Well done!

Buxton Walk

Also on the 30th April an ACE team headed out to Buxton to provide a local walk for NAVCA staff.

Leeds Jewish Society abseil at Leeds Met Uni

On the 30th Aprill ACE went along to support The Leeds Jewish Society in their fundraising efforts by running an abseil at the Leeds Met University.
