Well Done Thales

Sat in the office this morning with some very tired staff after the big three peak challenge this weekend. I don't think they will be half as tired as the guys and girls who completed the challenge, especially those two teams who finished in less than 24hrs.
So congratulations to everyone but especially to teams Glasgow @Hampions who completed it in 23:45hrs and Ibuprofen who whizzed round in 23:24hrs. We hope that everyone isn't too sore this morning and they all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Good Luck Thales!!!!!!!

On the 23rd and 24th May we are running a National Three Peaks Challenge for 87 Thales staff members. They will be competing in 12 teams and aiming to be the fastest round the three mountains starting in Scotland.
It’s all kicking off at 4pm on the 23rd and hoping that if people will hoof it round they maybe even get back for 12.30pm 24th May.
Good Luck Thales and fingers crossed for good weather.
"I want to ride my Bicycle, I want to ride my bike"........so we did. On Saturday 16th we ran a cycle event for The Dystonia Society. Ian squeezed into his lycra for the second year running as we rode round Rutland Water. We all had a fab time, so much so we had a little superstar that decided he enjoyed it so much he went round the course again!!!!

Marie Curie Whole Hog

The 9th of May was the date for the Marie Curie whole Hog in Scotland. We starting setting up on Wednesday before but as the weather was so bad, the course had been changed about 10 times before the event just to avoid the streams that had turned into rivers with white water rafting status! The rain was so heavy and the wind was so strong, it was more like an underwater challenge event in hurricane conditions. However we all put on our wellies and everyone donned their waterproofs and just got muddy.
The mud the sweat and all the ringing out of clothes at the end of the challenge was really worth it though as the event has raised a whopping £6000 for Marie Curie.
